To the Qualified Electors County of Schoolcraft, State of Michigan,
NOTICE HEREBY GIVEN that:
MONDAY April 6, 2015
is the last day to register from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. or as
otherwise set by your County, or Township Clerks, the 30th day preceding
said Election as provided by M.C.L.A. Section 498(3) as amended, for the purposes of reviewing the
registration and registering such of the qualified electors in said township, city or village as shall properly apply
therefore. The name of no person but an of the precinct at the time of registration and entitled under
the Constitution, if remaining such resident, at the next election, shall be entered in the registration book.

For the purpose of voting One state-wide proposal, for all electors County, Michigan, to wit; PROPOSAL 15-1: “A proposal
to amend the State Constitution to increase use tax from 6% to 7% to replace and supplement reduced
revenue to the School Aid Fund and local government caused by the elimination of the sales/use tax on
gasoline and diesel fuel for vehicles operating public roads, and to give effect to laws that provide additional
money for roads and other transportation by increasing the gas tax and vehicle registration fees.”
You are hereby further notified, one proposal for electors of Schoolcraft County, Michigan, there
will be an election for the purpose of voting millage PROPOSITION FOR MILLAGE RENEWAL FOR
LIBRARY SERVICES IN SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTY: “For the purpose of funding library services in
Schoolcraft County, and to levy for the purpose not more than .3 [3/10] mill (estimated to provide revenues
of $100,110.90 in the first year of the levy), limitation on the total amount of taxes which may be imposed
upon all taxable property within Schoolcraft be increased at the level of .3 mill ($.30 per $1,000.00) on the
taxable valuation of such property for taxes for a period of five (5) years, the years 2016 through 2020,
inclusive.”
You are hereby further notified, for Seney Township, Michigan, there will be an election for the
purpose of voting on an TAX RATE LIMITATION INCREASE PROPOSITION FOR SENEY TOWNSHIP
OPERATIONAL MILLAGE: “Shall the on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all ad
valorem property in Seney Township, Michigan, increased by up to a maximum of 1.000 mills ($1.00 on each
$1,000 of taxable value) for five years (2017, 2018, and 2019 inclusive) for the purpose of Township
operation and maintenance. It is estimated will generate revenues of approximately $11,073.30 during
the first calendar year of the proposition.”
You are hereby further notified, for Seney Township, Michigan, there will be an election for the
purpose of voting on an OPERATING RENEWAL PROPOSAL FOR TAHQUAMENON AREA
SCHOOLS: “Tahquamenon Area Schools Millage Renewal Proposal exempting principle residence and
other property exempted by law 18 Mills 2015.” Full Text of the ballot proposal may be obtained at the
administrative offices of Tahquamenon 700 Newberry Avenue, Newberry, MI 49868-1598,
telephone: (906) 293-3326.

The Schoolcraft County Board of Commissioners
will be accepting applications for the position of
Building Inspector/Zoning Administrator for the
County of Schoolcraft. This is an exempt salaried
position. Qualified applicants will possess a
minimum of five years relevant experience including
building construction, inspection and ordinance
enforcement. Applicant must be registerable by
the State of Michigan for Building Official, Plan
Reviewer, and Building Inspector pursuant to
Michigan Standards (further information available in
the Schoolcraft County Clerk’s Office). Knowledge of
the building and zoning code enforcement principles
and practices is also required.
All applications shall be submitted in writing to the
Schoolcraft County Board of Commissioners at the
following address:

2015 to be eligible for consideration. Please submit
an application accompanied by resume.
