Though she was not one of the founding families of Germfask, Delores (Gager) Monroe did reside there from 1945 to 1961. Her childhood and roots in the area led her to pursue a Germfask history project, which she states turned out to be a ‘labor of love’. Monroe recently had her 5-year research project, “Germfask Township Families”, published. Readers will find information on births and marriages of Germfask Township families from 1866 to 2012. Her research was taken from cemetery records, obituaries, personal family contacts, Germfask Township records, among other sources. For more information or to purchase a copy of the book, call (906) 341-8808 or email dmonroe@centurylink.net. 28p1.jpg
