Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s mobile headquarters stopped in Manistique Friday as part of a tour of Michigan. Though Romney was not on board, members of his staff were on hand to distribute signage and information to area residents. According to Kelsey Knight, “Michigan Victory” communications director, despite not being a battleground state, Romney requested a mobile HQ bus be placed in his home state. From Manistique, the bus would travel through the U.P. and down to Iowa to pick up Romney, she said. 5p1.jpg
