Thompson Township recently acknowledged the Medical Care Access Coalition-Schoolcraft for their outstanding support and dedication to the uninsured of Schoolcraft County. Started more than five years ago as Schoolcraft Health Access, by a small group of local residents who recognized the need for affordable medical access in our community, it has assisted more than 300 people. In addition, MCAC-Schoolcraft assists under-insured residents in obtaining low cost prescriptions. “Schoolcraft County is indeed fortunate to have MCAC-Schoolcraft looking out for the welfare of its residents and would like to thank them for their extraordinary service.” Accepting the plaque on behalf of the organization from left are Susan Phillips and June Ann Smith. 50p1.jpg
