When Mary LaTulip told her husband Michael she was going to buy a sewing machine, his response was “buy a good one.” She did just that. At a cost of $50 in 1904, Mary used this machine to sew all the clothing for her family. Granddaughter Dorothy Thennes, who inherited the machine and donated it to the Hennessey School House Museum in Garden, also used it to sew Christmas dresses for her daughters, Sandra and Karen. 22p1.jpg
