Crews continue to work to finish up the DIG project in downtown Manistique. The project, which originally had a deadline of Oct. 1, is expected to be finished in the coming days. According to City Manager Sheila Aldrich, the city had an opportunity to completely remove curb and the strip of sidewalk immediately behind the curb, instead of just spot removal where the service lines went in. While this added more aesthetically, it also added time to the project, she said. Above, a piece of equipment smooths out the roadway to prep for paving, which is set for the end of the week. 26p1.jpg
