Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital Rural Health Clinic recently performed 136 sports physical examinations on local youth who must undergo the physical check prior to participating in competitive sports at school. An annual event, the RHC has historically provided these physicals free of charge. However, this year a twist was added. SMH charged each student five dollars for their physical, raising $680. The hospital then added a $320 gift, for a total donation of a $1,000 to the Green Fire Booster Club. The check was presented to Green Fire Booster Club treasurer, Kathy Chase, by Dr. William Phillips, right, a family physician at SMH Rural Health Clinic. 37p1.jpg
