Marjory P. Chartier


Marjory P. Chartier Marjory P. Chartier COOKS – Marjory Pauline Chartier, 91 of Cooks, Mich., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, with her loving family by her side.

Pauline was born on Aug. 25, 1927, to Albert and Wave (Burnham) Kokesh. She graduated from Manistique High School class of 1946.

Pauline married William M. Chartier on Sept. 30, 1950 and together they raised five children. Pauline worked as an LPN for Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital, Manistique Medical Center and Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility before retirement in 1995. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, taking care of people and spending time with family.

Pauline is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Chartier of Cooks, Barbara (Lamar) Pipkin of Warner Robins, Ga., Gale (Paul) Sobieski of Manistique, Mich., Jacqueline Severin of Cooks; her son, William (Kimberly) Chartier of Manistique; 10 grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; halfbrothers, Gerald (Pam) Kokesh of Baraboo, Wis., Kenneth (Nancy) Kokesh of Waunakee, Wis., Robert (Bonnie) Kokesh of Lodi, Wis.; and half-sister, Diane (Deon) Slark of Sauk City, Wis.

Pauline is preceded in death by her loving husband; mother and step-father Wave and Charles MacGregor; father Albert Sr.; son-in-law, David and brother, Albert Kokesh Jr.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Messier-Broullire Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with Fr. Tim Ferguson officiating
