Adeline Stram-McNally

MANISTIQUE – Adeline “Addie” Stram-McNally, 93, died Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the Schoolcraft County Medical Care Facility in Manistique.

She was born July 24, 1924, in Iron Mountain, Mich., the daughter of Henry and Alice (Pavlot) Lickman and was a graduate of Stephenson High School. She continued her education at Badger State Business College in Green Bay, Wis., and worked in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., following graduation.

On May 28, 1949, the former Adeline L. Lickman married Matthew A. Stram of Sturgeon Bay. They moved to Manistique in 1956 and Matthew preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1969. She later married Donald B. McNally in Manistique and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1988.

Addie was interested in church and community affairs. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Manistique where she served as a Eucharistic Minister of the Altar. She was a member of and held various offices in St. Anne’s Altar Society, St. Rita’s Circle, the Manistique Women’s Club, and the Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Schoolcraft County Cancer Society, the Manistique Study Club, the Friends of the Library, the Indian Lake Golf and Country Club, and was a charter member and officer of the Community Concert Committee.

She is survived by her sons, Bob (Pam) Stram of Winfield, Ill. and Rick (Sally) Stram of Manistique; grandchildren, Susan (Chris) Schultz, Matt Stram, Emily Stram and Mark Stram; greatgrandchildren, Alice Schultz and Rudie Schultz; and her brothers, Robert (Joan) Lickman and Hank (Susan) Lickman both of Fountain Hills, Ariz..

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her brother, Howard (Joyce) Lickman.

A prayer service will be held at on Friday, July 6, at the Bayside Cemetery Chapel in Sturgeon Bay, with Father Carl Schmidt officiating. Burial next to her husband, Matthew will follow.

Memorial donations may be directed to the St. Francis de Sales Education Foundation.
