The walking tour of the Humboldt Mill facility will follow ore from Eagle Mine through the circuit of crushing, grinding, and flotation processes. Interested attendees should be prepared to spend one hour walking on site, including flights of stairs and walking over metal grating.

Other surface facilities include the storage area for development (waste) rock, the backfill plant, and the truck repair shop. Eagle Mine tours depart from the Information Center at 153A W. Washington St. in Marquette. Bus transportation for the tour is provided.

Registration for the tours is required. The tour is free and open to people ages 13 and up. Attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. For more information or to register for a tour, call (906) 273-1550.
