Eva Burrell Animal Shelter launches ‘adoption for donation’ pilot program

MANISTIQUE – The Eva Burrell Animal Shelter is launching a pilot program – Adoption by Donation. The program will run from June-December 2018.

During that time period, the shelter will waive the set fee for adoption and are asking instead for a donation. Those adopting an animal will set their own adoption fee.

The organization stated that it is continuing to stand by its mission statement: “The Eva Burrell Animal Shelter believes that it has the ability and power to effect change one animal at a time. It is our goal to be worthy of their lives, to be enriched by their presence and not to miss the lessons they teach. We pledge to educate, to lead by example, to learn, to help when and where we can, to be diligent in our fundraising, and to be worthy of the trust placed in us.

We believe that we must be forward thinking and willing to try new and progressive ideas. Our standard of care for our animals will not change nor diminish, nor will our requirements for adoption. We believe it is about finding good loving forever homes. We know we have a wonderful team of supporters that will continue to believe in our goals.”
