Bay de Noc to host The Relentless Tour

Anthony Ianni Anthony Ianni COOKS – The Relentless Tour with Anthony Ianni will take place at Big Bay de Noc May 23 at 8:30 a.m. for grades 3-12. The public is also invited to attend. The tour is an Autism Alliance of Michigan initiative to eradicate bullying in Michigan. It is one of the most sought-after anti-bullying motivational programs.

At the age of four, Ianni was diagnosed with Pervasive Development Disorder, a condition on the autism spectrum and he was bullied as a child. Doctors told his parent he would barely graduate from high school and would never go to college or become an athlete.

Despite bullies, adversity and personal challenges, he worked hard and earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. He became the first athlete with autism to play Division I college basketball.

Through the Relentless Tour, he and the Michigan Department of Civil Rights seek to raise awareness of autism and the problem of bullying and has been invited to Big Bay de Noc to share his message.
