Committee seeks Folkfest Hero nominations for 2018

MANISTIQUE – Know someone who deserves the title of 2018 Folkfest Hero? The Folkfest Committee is once again seeking nominations from the public for the honor.

A Folkfest Hero is typically someone who has, either publically or behind-thescenes, worked to better the community or assist residents in some capacity. To submit a Folkfest Hero nomination, residents are asked to submit a nomination form (available on page A3).

On the form, the person nominating is asked to provide: the name of the person being nominated, a short description of the community groups and activities the person is involved with, and their (the person nominating) name, address, phone number, and email.

Submit nominations by mailing to Manistique City Hall, Folkfest Hero 2017 Nomination, 300 N. Maple Street, Manistique, MI 49854 or emailing clerk@cityofmanistique.net.

All nominations are due by 3 p.m. June 15.
