Patricia F. Brown Patricia F. Brown CHARLES CITY, Va. – Patricia Faith Brown (nee Walters), 71, of Charles City, Va., formerly of Roanoke Rapids, N. C., and Manistique, Mich., was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017.

She was born on Sept. 17, 1946, in Manistique, the 11th in a large family of 15 children to Leonard and Linda Walters of the Valley Nursery Greenhouses. She graduated from Manistique High School in 1964.

Pat was a very creative and talented woman. Those of her family and friends were elated to receive one of her many paintings. She inherited her parent’s green thumb and her yard and garden showed it. Anything she set her mind to do, she was successful with. She loved God and her family. She made many sacrifices making sure her children and others were cared for. She enjoyed cooking, decorating, sewing, painting, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful daughter and sister, as well as a mom, grandmother and great-grandmother

Those surviving her and cherishing her memory are: her sons, Kevin Renn (Theresa) of Chester, Va., Joshua Brown of Charles City and daughter, Linda Bowen of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Thomas Renn, Bradley Renn, Kristian Alves, Keirstyn Alves, Jaime Bowen Hines, Dennis Bowen, David Bowen, Gary Bowen (Ashley), Jordan Bowen, Timothy Bowen and Bethany Bowen Hedgepath; great-grandchildren Dylan and Gabriella Houston, Brock Hedgepath and Ellie Bowen; four sisters, Mary Rhynard of Bay City, Mich., Carol Kocher of Mesa, Ariz., Jane Wolf of Milwaukee, Wis. and Jean Stoviak (Louis) also of Milwaukee; three brothers, Jon Walters of Milwaukee, Steve Walters (Jeanne) of Minot, N.D. and Dale Walters (Celeste) of Wisconsin; special friend, Al Loving; and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Arthur, Robert, James, Richard, Paul and David; and her sister Sally Paradise.

A private memorial service will be held. Funeral arrangements or being handled by Nelson Funeral Home in Richmond, Va. Burial will be at Hardy Central Baptist Church in Henrico, Va.

As in the photo, on your last annual birthday trip to Virginia Beach, you wave goodbye to each and all. We wave back with all our love, until we meet again.
