Schoolcraft Memorial to offer Yoga Classes

MANISTIQUE - Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital will be offering Yoga Classes for the community. Classes began April 18 and will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. with yoga leader, Jon Studinger.

Classes are $5 with proceeds benefitting community charities. In April and May, funds collected will be donated to the Feeding America Mobile Food Trucks for Schoolcraft County. Cash donations accepted.

All levels welcome. Please arrive 15 minutes early to register, sign in and set up. Classes begin promptly at 7 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.

Classes are held in the SMH Atrium. Enter at Rural Health Clinic entrance.

Please bring your own yoga mat and water bottle. Wear comfortable attire.

Bay offering event on Autism April 24

ESCANABA – April is Autism Awareness month and The Bay College Diversity Committee is offering “Autism and the Adult Transition” – a free event open to the public – April 24. The event will take place from 6-8 p.m. in the Besse Theater on the Escanaba Campus.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates autism’s prevalence as one in 68 children in the United States.
