Vincent F. Weber Vincent F. Weber MANISTIQUE – Vincent F. Weber, 98, of 711 Arbutus Ave., Manistique, Mich., passed away suddenly on Aug. 11, 2014, at his home.

He was born Feb. 21, 1916, in Kingsley, Mich., the son of Jacob and Anna (Zenner) Weber and attended schools in Kingsley.

On Aug. 5, 1944, he married the former Lucille J. Holmberg in Manistique and they lived in the Detroit area for a few years. They moved to Manistique and raised their family here. Lucille preceded him in death on Jan. 13, 2005.

Upon moving to Manistique, Vince was employed at the Michigan Dimension Company and later at Inland Lime and Stone Company in Gulliver. He worked in several positions at Inland, including the crusher until his retirement.

Vince was a devout member of St. Francis de Sales Church in Manistique where he served as an usher, and he was also a faithful member of the K. of C. Council No. 2026 of Manistique. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and in his earlier years, bowling on the local bowling leagues.

Vince is survived by his children, Robert Weber of Manistique, Pat (Mike) Klarich of Manistique, and Debra (David) Neadow of Manistique; daughter-in-law, Joyce Weber of Munising, Mich.; grandchildren, Robert (Denise) Weber, Darrin Weber, Erin (Chris) Holloway, David (Danielle) Neadow and Dana Neadow; 10 greatgrandchildren; brothers, Ambrose Weber of Florida, Ray Weber of Traverse City, Mich., Dan Weber of Traverse City, Jay Weber of Buckley, Mich., and Jack Weber of Grand Rapids, Mich.; sister, Sister Aquinas of Grand Rapids; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Francis Weber; his granddaughter, Shana Weber; brothers, Clarence, Paul and Carl Weber; and sister, Marguerite Wagner.

Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Messier-Broullire Funeral Home in Manistique. Parish prayers were said at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 14, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Manistique with Father Ben Paris officiating. Burial will be held in Lakeview Cemetery at Manistique. A luncheon will follow at the Zion Lutheran Church.

Memorial donations may be directed to St. Francis de Sales School, St. Francis School Tuition Fund, or to St. Francis School Education Foundation.
