MANISTIQUE – With the season more than halfway over, Manistique Area Youth Soccer members are working hard and developing their skills.

According to MAYS President Sheila Clark, the seven to nine year olds are especially talented.

“They are a lot of fun to watch,” she said. “Their energy and enthusiasm for the game is great, and it is really fun to watch as they progress in their skills throughout the season.”

As of last week, the Manistique Oil team, coached by Beth McLaren and Matt Miotke, stands undefeated at 6-0.

“They have dominated most of the team they play with most of the other teams being shut out,” Clark said.

The Manistique Federal Credit Union team is ranked at 3-3. Coached by John Maline, top scorers in this team are: John Lund, Danielle Lund, Grant Mason, Hayden Liskiewicz, and Masin Tryan.

Top goal keepers for MFCU are Hayden Liskiewicz, Griffin Maline, Jenaya Goudreau and Kirk Slater.

Current MAYS standings for the seven to nine year old division are:
