Zion Lutheran to host annual Mother’s Day tea

MANISTIQUE – Zion Lutheran Church will host its annual Mother’s Day Tea on May 10, in the Fellowship Hall. The program will begin at 2 p.m.

The program includes Pastor Ellie speaking on “God’s Garden. Music will be provided by Rebecca Peterson and Karen Klaus.

All mothers, present and past, will be celebrated during the annual event.

Members of the public are invited to attend.

Foster grandparents planning in-service meet

GLADSTONE – The Menominee/ Delta/ Schoolcraft County Foster Grandparents in-service meeting and annual recognition dinner will be held at the Terrace Bay Inn in Gladstone on May 14. The meeting will be at 4:30 p.m.

The recognition dinner begins at 6 p.m.

Auxiliary aids and services will be available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

The Foster Grandparent Program is administered by the Menominee- Delta- Schoolcraft Community Action Agency.

Retired school personnel to host May meeting

MANISTIQUE – The Schoolcraft and Eastern Delta Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel’s May meeting will be May 14 in Manistique High School‘s Cafeteria.

The meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m.; lunch will be served.

The program, titled “Happenings at Manistique Area Schools” will be presented by Manistique High School Principal John Shiner and Emerald Elementary Principal Eric Mason.

A business meeting will follow the presentation.
