Button up

For the second year in a row, a Manistique Area Schools student has won the Forgotten Eagles button design competition. Fifth grade students from all over the state participate in the contest, and, this year, Lilly Stoll took home the honor. From left: Leslie Henry; Tom Rodney, Chapter 1 vice president; Duke Mayo, Chapter 1 president; Stoll; Jen Rodney, Chapter 1 treasurer; and Pam Weber. Stoll was awarded with a $50 gift card, button and a t-shirt with her button on it during a recent presentation. Buttons are sold with the proceeds donated to D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette and Patriot House, located downstate.
