Shooting for the FUNds of it

The Manistique Rifle and

Pistol Club recently held its annual Fun Shoot.

Participation in the shoot is open to the public and is an opportunity for area residents to try out the sport. Possession of firearms is not necessary, as members have an assortment on hand to experiment with under their guidance. Proceeds from the event are donated to the annual community CBC Fund

Drive. This year, the organization was able to donate $390. Pictured above are some of the club members that participated. Front row, from left: Alan Olsen,

Nick LaFave, Jim

LaFave, Earl Johnson.

Back row, Russell

Johnson and Gary

Fynch.

Above, Alan Olsen is shown shooting five-stands. Participants shoot in turn at each of five stands as various combinations of targets are thrown from the traps.
