GFWC celebrates with facility birthday party

MANISTIQUE – The Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility celebrated five birthdays on April 16.

Celebrants included Sara Wilson, Delbert Bradley, Francis Meyst, Ann Smith and Gertrude Salter.

Manistique GFWC volunteers were on hand to help with the celebration, which included an Easter Parade with residents.

The May party will be held on May 21 with entertainment provided by the Mud Hole Band.

Jack Reque school names honor roll

MANISTIQUE – The Jack Reque Alternative High school has announced the honor roll for the third marking period of the 2013- 14 school year.

Students who have received a “B” average or better include: Courtney Burns, Anna Jenerou, Ryan Mercier, Tyler Phllips, Jasmine Volk, Dale Nickell and Gabrielle Porter.

The teaching staff includes Kathy Seaman and Trina Nedeau.
