Foster grandparents plan in-service meet

MANISTIQUE – The Schoolcraft County Foster Grandparents in-service meeting will be held April 16, at 11 a.m. at the Manistique Senior Center.

Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

The Foster Grandparent Program is administered by the Menominee- Delta-Schoolcraft Community Action Agency.

American Legion set to host annual dinner

IRON MOUNTAIN – The Upper Peninsula Association of American Legion Posts will sponsor a “legislative dinner” on April 26. The event is open to the public and will take place at the American Legion Post 50 in Iron Mountain.

The dinner will recognize elected legislators and their continued attention to veterans’ issues.

Emcee for the dinner and roast of legislators is Department of Public Relations Director Mark Sutton.

The evening will begin with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. and dinner served at 7 p.m. (central time). The cost is $20; tickets may be purchased in advance at Post 50 or by calling (906) 774-5707.
