Baskets full of auction joy
Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital employees (from left) Kelli Stapleton, Gail DeMars and Lisa Rosebush look over the numerous gift baskets and prizes individual departments and staff donated for the facility’s fundraising contribution to CBC. SMH staff bid on items last week on a special site set up for the hospital staff. All monies raised will be donated at the CBC Radio-Telethon. “We normally do casual days each year,” stated Alison Jones, SMH Marketing and Communications Coordinator. “However, we were challenged this year to come up with something more creative and fun for all staff to participate in. Our events committee took the lead to promote the event, and our departments came up with some creative prizes. Some of which include a lotto tree, tackle box completely outfitted, tool box with tools, Kindle, wheel barrow filled with lawn supplies and even 50 pounds of beef and so much more.” At the end, the auction raised $3,407.
