Submitted photo Emerald Elementary first graders pose recently during a March is Reading Month activity. They had the opportunity to “buddy read” with third grade students, wear a hat to school with words, and many more! To bring “March is Reading Month” to a close, the first graders dressed up as their favorite book characters. Students showed off their costumes in a book parade throughout the school, shared their books in class, and enjoyed the day celebrating their favorite book characters.
