Enforcing fun

Joe LeBlanc photos Joe LeBlanc photos For a number of years, local law enforcement representatives have challenged seniors at Manistique High School to an annual basketball game held in the name of fun. As in years past, they didn’t let them down. The proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the all-night graduation party for the Class of 2016. Representing this year’s enforcement team was (front row, from left): Kevin smith, Tim Russell, Dustin Stempki, John Halpin, and Aaron Quinlan. Back row: John Norrington, Ken Golat, Tim Noble, Mike Evink, Dianna Herlik, Clark Becksford and Chris Hayward. The night also included the ceremonial kissing of the “pig”, which was really a goat. Ten contestants agreed to participate in the contest with the contestant with the most money in their “money bucket” awarded the privilege. Scott Hoezee of State Savings Bank was received the honor.
