Local Michigan Tech winter graduated named

HOUGHTON – Michigan Technological University honored the achievements of more than 400 graduates Dec. 14, at Midyear Commencement.

This commencement included the following students from the local area: Nikita Sokolov, Manistique, with a Bachelor of Science in computer systems science; Warren Miller, Seney, with a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering; and Steven Castello, Shingleton, with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering technology.

Mulze graduates from University of Wisconsin

GREEN BAY – Miranda Mulze earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay in December.

She is the daughter of Tom and Lori (LaLonde) DeMars of Peshtigo, Wis. and granddaughter of Joseph and Diane LaLonde and Ed and Doris DeMars of Manistique.

Mulze is employed by UW –Marinette as a community assistant. Previously, she was an undergraduate research assistant in the Language Learning Lab at UW–Green Bay.
