Porcupine Mountain fans asked to enter ‘winter fun or summer sun’ sweepstakes

ONTONAGON – The Porcupine Mountains Ontonagon Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is asking visitors to pick their favorite season to visit the Porcupine Mountains in the “Winter Fun or Summer Sun?” sweepstakes.

The sweepstakes, which runs through March 14, asks visitors whether they like visiting the Porcupine Mountains in the winter or summer, and why, for a chance to win a weekend trip. To enter, fans can visit www.porcupinemountains.com and click on the sweepstakes logo.

One winner will receive a winter or summer getaway to the Porcupine Mountains that includes a two-night stay at one of the area’s lodging properties; an admission pass to the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park; ski, snowshoe, bike or kayak rentals; and a copy of the Porcupine Mountains Companion guide book.

Visitors can find plenty to do year-round in the Porcupine Mountains, whether it’s skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the winter or hiking, biking and running in the summer. (Plus, the area’s waterfalls put on a show in early spring, and the fall colors are some of the best in the Midwest.)

The Porcupine Mountains area communities of Ontonagon, Silver City and White Pine offer a variety of lodging options for visitors, from hotels and motels to lodges and cottages. Find more information on lodging options here.
