Emerald cheer squad sets season high

KINGSFORD – The Emerald competitive cheer squad posted their season high score of 713.66 when they took first place in Division 4 at the Kingsford Invitational on Jan. 23.

The Emeralds turned in scores of 218.1, 195.96 respectively in rounds one and two. They finished with a third round score of 310.2

Norway took second for Division 4 with a three round score of 662.14 (198.3, 186.14, 227.7)

Kingsford was the overall winner with a score of 732.02 (222.4, 210.22, 299.4)

The squad was back on the road again Saturday for the Gladstone invitational. There the Emeralds placed fourth overall with a three round score of 674.22 (212.2, 190.82 -8, 279.2)

They compete again Saturday at the Munising Invitational.
