Bonnie J. Lehman Bonnie J. Lehman MANISTIQUE – Bonnie J. Lehman, 53, of Manistique, Mich., passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Manistique following a brief illness with brain cancer.

She was born Feb. 24, 1960, in Manistique the daughter of John and Rachel (Burton) McNeil and was raised in the Gould City, Mich., area. She attended school in Engadine, Mich. and was a graduate of Engadine High School with the Class of 1978. She moved to Manistique 35 years ago.

Bonnie was employed at Paul’s Plumbing and Appliance in Manistique for 30 years and was currently the business operations manager.

She was a member and treasurer of Schoolcraft County Sport Fishing Association. She loved the outdoors: fishing, hunting, camping, going to camp, and watching football. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and Paul’s grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her fiancĂ©e, Paul R. Hoholik of Manistique; parents, John “Hugh” and Rachel McNeil of Gould City; brothers, David (Ann) McNeil of Buckeye, Ariz., and Edward J. Mc- Neil of Manistique; sisters, Josie (Guy) Swagart of Cooks, Mich., Velvet (Dan) Wing of Raleigh, N.C., Evie (John) Frisch of Gould City and Charley (Robert) Bingham of Manistique; Paul’s sons,

Dan (Nicole) Hoholik of Manistique, George (Shanna) Hoholik of Manistique and Paul (Amber) Hoholik of Manistique; several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren; along with her and Paul’s extended families.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31, at Messier- Broullire Funeral Home in Manistique. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Steve Jones officiating. A luncheon will be served at Manistique Harbor Pentecostal Church following the funeral service.

Burial will be held in the Newton Township Cemetery at Gould City.
