Manistique man faces 5 felony CSC charges
MANISTIQUE – A Manistique man is facing six felonies following his arraignment in 93rd District Court on Friday. The charges were the result of an investigation by the Michigan State Police.
Daniel Corwin, 46, has been arraigned on the following charges: four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony punishable by up to life in prison; one count of second degree CSC, a felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison; and one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes, a felony punishable by up to four years in prison.
Corwin was also charged with a misdemeanor assault and battery.
Officers from the Michigan State Police – St. Ignace Post arrested Corwin last Thursday after investigating numerous sexual assault cases in Manistique.
He remains lodged at the Schoolcraft County Jail, with a preliminary exam is scheduled for Monday.
