Speaker to address drunk driving at MHS

MANISTIQUE – Manistique Middle/High School will host a special presentation “Defining Your World Through the Choices You Make. How Will You Grow?” on Jan. 28. The presentation is open to the public and will take place on at 1:15 p.m. in the school’s auditorium.

Mr. Dick Kendall, executive director for the Pulp and Paper Manufacturers Association, will speak to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

In November 2004, Kendall’s 23 year-old son, Kevin, was killed in a traffic crash in Northeast Wisconsin. The young man operating the vehicle was driving under the influence of alcohol.

For the past nine years, he has spoken before groups with the hope that such “victim impact” testimonials will affect the decisions of drivers and individuals.
