MANISTIQUE – The Long Riders 22nd annual charity Relic Ride is scheduled for Feb. 8. The event will start at the Jack Pine Lodge, located on Highway M-94, 20 miles north of Manistique.

Registration will take place from 8:30-10 a.m. The cost is $5. Breakfast will be available from the restaurant at that time.

Prizes will be announced for registered relics that are 1973 or older. The categories will include a loud pipe contest, best of show, best antique 1968 or older, most unique and worst of show.

Also available will be 50-50 raffles, featuring donated prizes and a mystery sled.

The ride is scheduled to leave Jack Pine at 11 a.m. They will travel to D and D Resort in Steuben, then head to the Boot Lake Bar where lunch will be available.

All snowmobiles, regardless of age, are welcome to participate in the ride. In 2013, over 300 vintage sleds, 1972 and older, participated in the annual run.

In addition to the relics, just over 200 modern sleds joined in the ride.

As in prior years, proceeds from the registration and raffles will be donated to a local charity.
