Caregiver support group to meet Jan. 21

MANISTIQUE – The monthly Caregiver Support Group will meet Jan. 21 at 4 p.m. in the activities room of the Schoolcraft County Medical Care Facility.

The group is open to anyone involved with the care giving of someone with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia

Foster grandparents plan January meeting

MANISTIQUE – The Schoolcraft County Foster Grandparent program will be having an in-service meeting on Jan. 10 at 11:15 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Upper Crust Deli in Manistique.

Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

The Foster Grandparent Program is administered by M.D.S. Community Action Agency.

Regional blood center to host local drive

MANISTIQUE – The U.P. Regional Blood Center will hold a blood drive on Jan. 16 at the Blanchard Center in Manistique.

The drive will take place from 1 – 5:15 p.m.

To schedule an appointment, call Lila Panek at 341-6447. Walk-ins are also welcome during collection time.
