Amity group planning decoration program

MANISTIQUE – The Manistique Amity Group will meet on Dec. 11. The group will gather in the Presbyterian Church at 9:30 a.m.

Women’s club to hold Christmas auction

MANISTIQUE – The GFWC Manistique Women’s Club will hold its annual Christmas Scholarship auction on Dec. 10. The event will begin at noon at the Comfort Inn.

Radio personality, “NASCAR” Bob Williams serve as auctioneer.

Tickets for the luncheon are $10 and are available at the Peoples Store from Dec. 2 through Dec. 9.

Attendees must present tickets at the luncheon. Reservations and ticket sales are not accepted after the deadline.

‘Good Grief’ sessions planned in Dec., Jan.

MANISTIQUE – Whether it’s been three months or three years since a loved one has passed, the upcoming five week session of “Good Grief” will help residents learn coping strategies, understanding of grief’s journey, and share stories with others who care.

There is no charge for the meetings.

The meetings will be held on Dec. 10 and 17; and Jan. 7, 14, and 21 from 3 – 4:30 p.m. at North Woods Home Care and Hospice Office in Manistique.

Retired employees plan Dec. 11 meeting

MANISTIQUE – The Schoolcraft and Eastern Delta Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel‘s December meeting will take place on Dec. 11.

The meeting will also serve as the annual Christmas party.

The meeting will be held at the Comfort Inn in Manistique and lunch will be served at 11 a.m.
