National trappers expo coming to Escanaba

ESCANABA – Trappers and their families from across the U.S. and Canada are invited to attend the National Trappers Association Expo in Escanaba on July 24-27. The event will take place at the U.P. State Fairgrounds.

Ten buildings will feature vendors offering not only trapping supplies, but a large variety of other items appealing to any outdoor enthusiast. Tailgate sales will take place on the grounds.

This event is expected to draw over 6, 000 people to the area. It is a family friendly event with activities and events geared toward children.

Trappers of all experience levels will have learning opportunities, as trapping experts will be on conducting demos each day.

“Many people take their vacation days to attend the National Trappers Association Event,” said Jim Fornetti, of the U.P. Trappers Association. “You will definitely need more than one day to take it all in. Area motels and restaurants will be busy; you may want to make your reservations early. Not only will the trapper, but any outdoor enthusiast be glad they attended.”

Admission is $10 for all three days. Camping will be available on the grounds. For further information contact Tamara Masterson, NTA Convention Coordinator, at masterson@nationaltrappers.com.
