Residents, students go ‘blue’

Submitted photo MHS students participate in World Diabetes day by wearing blue. Submitted photo MANISTIQUE – A sea of blue washed over Manistique on Nov. 14 as residents raised awareness for World Diabetes Day. The disease affects over 27 million Americans.

With the help of Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital’s Diabetic Education Program, local schools, including Manistique Middle and High School, St. Francis de Sales, and Emerald Elementary, as well as hospital staff and other residents, raised awareness by wearing blue shirts.
