State retirees to hold Christmas Luncheon

ESCANABA – The Upper Peninsula Chapter No. 16 of the State Employee Retirees Association will hold its Christmas Luncheon at noon on Dec 2. It will take place at the Escanaba Elks Lodge No. 354 in Escanaba.

An election for expiring board terms and a 50/50 raffle will also take place during the luncheon. All members and guests are invited to attend.

Geocachers planning ‘reindeer games’ meet

ESCANABA – The Delta Area Geocachers will host their version of Reindeer Games on Dec. 4, at 6 p.m. at the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Pocket Park building on the grounds of the U.P. State Fairgrounds in Escanaba. The meet begins at 6 p.m.

Flashlights are encourages and cookies and hot cocoa will be available at 8 p.m.

Attendees are asked to bring a Christmas stocking filled with donations for Tri-County Safe Harbor.
