Dear Editor,

Old Johnny Walker is up to his annual crying about tribal hunting. I’m sick of his whining about the good old days.

He should apologize about his comment on “Indian kill tags”. The Native Americans have a long and rich history of hunting and fishing. They lived in harmony with nature for centuries. It was the Europeans who exterminated much of the wildlife in North America.

Predators have always been in the woods, they’re natural. Whitetails are not cattle and should not be looked upon as hunters commodities. The Native Americans understand this, we take pride in monitoring our hunting and respecting the whitetail.

Walker is an ex-DNR who was constantly screwing up the natural order of nature. Why don’t you talk about local fishing and keep your views to yourself.
