Janice A. Repp Janice A. Repp MANISTIQUE - Janice A. Repp, 74, of Riverview Drive, Manistique, Mich., went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013.

She was born Aug. 27, 1939, in Pell City, Ala. and moved to Manistique in 1944 with her parents. She was the daughter of Vern and Carlene Vail.

Janice was a member of the First Baptist Church of Manistique since 1945. She served on the church Deacon Board and sang in the choir.

In 1976, she graduated from Manistique High School, the same year as her son, Mike.

Janice was employed as a sales clerk at Lauerman’s Store and at People’s Store in Manistique for many years.

She loved to embroider pillow cases, listen to Christian music, spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, read the Bible and mystery novels, watch movies, and play with her dog Winnie. She enjoyed travel to Israel and trips to Canada.

Janice is survived by her son, Michael Repp of Harwood Heights, Ill.; daughter, Kathy Repp of Manistique; grandchildren, Mike (Jessica) Repp of Harwood Heights, Nicole Frankovich of Isabella, Mich., Jason Frankovich of Cooks, Mich., Makayla Spencer Arbogast of Oceanside, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Alexia Mercier, Terran Frankovich, Michael Ryan Repp; several step-grandchildren; brother, Albert (Kathe) Vail of Gulliver; sisters, Gail (Jack) Stewart of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. and Connie (Jim) Ellis of Manistique; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Winnie.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Repp Spencer; parents, Vern Vail and Carlene Finck; step-dad, Rudy Finck; and her beloved dog, Pooh Bear.

Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, at the First Baptist Church in Manistique. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday, at the church, with Reverend Jay Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at Manistique, followed by a luncheon in the First Baptist Church multi-purpose room.
