Dear Editor,

We would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know how grateful we are to have Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital. Unfortunately we found out the hard way how very good it is.

I drove my husband to the emergency room last week with severe chest pains and nausea. They immediately went to work on him. It was quite a challenge getting his blood pressure up and getting his chest pains down to a comfortable level and stabilizing him for transfer to Marquette to a cardiac physician.

They operated later that evening and Dr. Friesen made the comment to us that SMH did everything right before bringing him up there. That was good to hear and we wanted to pass that on to our community.

They put in a stint and after a couple of days he was released. We just want everyone to know Dr. Burch, her nurses and staff did a perfect job and we appreciate it more than words can say. The ambulance group was very reassuring also. We are so thankful to have such good and professional people in our area. Thank you all so much.

Sincerely,

Bruce and Janet Lozuaway

Do you think Schoolcraft County should model a zoning ordinance to encourage wind farm development in the area?
