Manistique man pleads no contest in case

Accused of accosting minor
MANISTIQUE – A Manistique man has pleaded no contest to two of three original charges against him. He appeared in 11th Judicial Circuit Court Thursday.

Daniel L. McDougle, 49, of 7334W Riverview Dr., Manistique, faced charges relating to an incident occurring in Hiawatha Township in August 2012. Those charges include one count of accosting, enticing or soliciting a child less than 16 years of age for immoral purposes; one count of conspiracy with the co-defendant, to commit the above offense of accosting, enticing or soliciting a child less than 16 years of age for immoral purposes; and aggravated indecent exposure.

McDougle entered the no contest plea on the attempted accosting and aggravated indecent exposure charges. The other charge was dropped.

He is set to appear for sentencing on Dec. 5.
