Leagues wrap up

The Skeet league was topped by Hart Stuehmer in class A, followed by Frank Schwantner and Jake VerBunker. Class B winner was Gary Finch, with Kevin Demers and Russ Johnson close behind.

During the 15-week season of 25 targets per week, perfect 25 broken target weeks were shot by Gary Finch, Bill Fries, Dudsie Johnson, Frank Schwantner, Hart Stuehmer, and Harry Toennessen.

In the hotly contested “Five Stand” league, Tom Bronz emerged as the class A winner, with Ted Pullen and Jake VerBunker right behind.

Thirteen-year-old Zack Toennessen claimed the class B first place trophy, followed by Russ Johnson and Harry Toennessen claiming second and third place trophies.

No perfect rounds were scored during the 15-week Five Stand league.

The leagues are handicapped and all members are urged to join, however, league membership is not required to shoot on Wednesday afternoons. The club welcomes all shotgunners, regardless of experience.

The club is located nine miles north of Manistique on Hwy. M-94 and the clubhouse is open Wednesday afternoons all year. Membership is $30 per year, with reduced fees for additional family members.
