Bears come up short

COOKS – With the team on the mend, the Big Bay de Noc Black Bears put forth a impressive effort on the road Tuesday night at North Central, but came up short.

The squad lost their first set by four, finishing 21-25.

Losing their momentum in set two, the Bears lost 18-25. They rallied their energy in set three, but ended up losing 22-25.

Physical playing by juniors Heather LaLonde, Patience Harris and Mariah Yonker continued to keep the Bears in the game.

On Sept. 19, they hosted the Munising Mustangs.

The visitors took sets one and two (16-25, 17-25). The Bears took set three 25-15.

They will host Houghton Friday night with game times set to begin at 6:45 p.m.
