‘Lord’s Acre Auction’ planned for Oct. 12

GARDEN – The 67th annual Lord’s Acre Auction, sponsored by the Fayette Congregational Church, will be held on Oct. 12. The event takes place in the Fairbanks Township Hall in Fayette.

With the exception of donations and offerings, the auction proceeds are the sole source of income the church uses for operation.

A variety of items will be available for bid, including: homemade jams and jellies, fresh fish fillets, fresh smoked fish, quilts, pumpkins, wall hangings, decorative wreaths and other homemade handcrafted items.

Prior to the auction, there is a baked goods sale at 11 a.m. The auction will follow at 11:30 a.m.

The town hall can be found by turning off Hwy U.S. 2 at Foxy’s Den in Garden Corners, continuing south about 19 miles, and looking for the Lord’s Acre Auction sign.
