Multimedia concert comes to Bay College
ESCANABA – San Francisco’s Pamela Rose and her band celebrate the life and times – and especially the music – of the wild women who wrote songs in the bygone days of Tin Pan Alley. “Wild Women of Song” is a genrebending showpiece celebrating the lives, times and music of the often invisible women songwriters of the earliest days of jazz and blues.
Pamela debuted the show in 2010, and since then it has played to sell-out crowds in London, New York, and Los Angeles.
“Wild Women of Song: Great Gal Composers of the Jazz Era” will perform at Besse Center Theater on Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at Bay College’s Box Office in the Besse Center or online at www.baycollege.edu/tickets. Phone the box office at (906) 217- 4045 for additional information.
