Arthur A. Watson
He was born Dec. 23, 1941, the son of Gerald and Opal Watson, in Gulliver. Arthur was one of six children.
He attended school in Gulliver and the Manistique area. At the age of 15 he moved to live with his brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Marilyn Watson, where he went to work at the Gee Lumber Co. After a few years he left Gee Lumber Co., and went to work at C.T.A. Bus Co., in maintenance for about five years. From there, Art and his brother Gerald bought into Central Towing. After a few years he sold the towing company and starting his own truck line called Watson Trucking until he became ill and had to retired in 2012.
Arthur loved playing cards with his dear friends. He also loved riding snowmobile and riding his Harley. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
Arthur is survived by his three sons, Michael, Richard, and Jason; one grandson, Michael Jr.; a brother, Dan Watson; and his companion for eight years, Jessie Schnurer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Agnes (Watson) McGahan of Gulliver, Nettie (Watson) Backman of Gulliver, and Isodora (Watson) MacGregor of Oak Lawn, Ill.; brother, Gerald Watson and his wife Patricia of Gary, Ind.
