Regional blood drive set for Manistique

MANISTIQUE – The next U.P. Regional Blood Drive to be held in Manistique is Sept. 11 from 1 to 5:15 p.m. at the Blanchard Center.

Donators can schedule an appointment by calling 341-6447. Walk-ins are also welcome during collection time.

Alzheimer’s walk to take place Sept. 14

MANISTIQUE – The Alzheimer’s Association will be holding a “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” in Manistique on Sept. 14. Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the walk leaving from Central Park at 10 a.m.

Funds received through Wednesday were matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000 by an anonymous donor.

Pasty sale scheduled at Methodist church

MANISTIQUE – The women of Manistique First United Methodist Church will hold a monthly pasty sale Sept. 11 and 12, at the church. Pasties are $3.50 each.

Supplies are limited early orders are suggested. Call 341-6662 to place orders or for more information.
