Classic cruisin’

At left, visitors and residents flocked to the annual Manistique Merchants’ Car Show Saturday. 

The show boasted numerous classic entries, as well as food booths, a craft fair, a kids’ tractor pull, and more. At bottom left, a pair looks over one of the classic car entries. At right, a man browses one of the booths in the craft fair.

In the “cars” division, the “Merchant’s Best of Show” prize went to Mark Paupore, of Manistique, for his 1913 Maxwell 22 Roadster.

“Mayor’s Choice” went to the City of Manistique Fire Department for its 1952 700 Pumper Fire Truck. 

“Longest Driven to Show” went to Tom and Gloria Tereshinski, of Owing, Md. The couple drove a 1988 Pontiac Trans Am. 

Kids’ tractor pull winners included: Bryson Wood, Alexis Casey, Ryker Goudreau, Jozelyn Warmack, McKena Fehrenbach, and Hannah Brewster.
