MANISTIQUE - Fall Club Soccer will open up their 2013 season at home on the Lindsley Frenette Park field when they take on Escanaba Aug. 28. Game time is set for 5 p.m.

They will follow the home opener back on their field again on Sept. 7 when they compete against Niagara in a double header. Game times are set for that Saturday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Manistique’s roster currently has 22 players between the ages of 14- 18 registered.

Beaton and Titans win Cherry Bomb tourney

TRAVERSE CITY – Devlin Beaton, a member of the Power Play Titans Travel Lacrosse team, recently played in the Cherry Bomb Lacrosse Tournament in Traverse City, Mich.

The team won the U-15 B Division Championship against teams from throughout the Midwest. The Titans went 8-1 for the tournament and won the championship by a score of 12-5.

The Titans finished the summer season with an overall record of 30- 2-2.

Devlin is the son of seasonal Manistique residents Dan and Lori Beaton.
