Bay College releases spring 2013 grad list

ESCANABA – Bay de Noc Community College recently announced the names of students who completed all of the requirements for the Associate Degree and Certificate programs upon completion of the Spring 2013 Semester.

Local students include: Janelle Irie, Manistique, Associate in Applied Science Degree in accounting/computer specialist; and Emily Lucas, Garden, certificate in computer aided design drafting.

Saginaw Valley State names Duyck to list

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Heather Duyck of Manistique was named to Saginaw Valley State University’s president’s list for the winter 2013 semester.

To be eligible for the president’s list, students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours and earn a 4.0 semester GPA.

Hueter receives honor from Ohio university

BEXLEY, Ohio – Capital University recently announced Holly Hueter, of Manistique, was named to the president’s list for the spring 2013 semester.

The president’s list indicates the highest level of academic distinction achieved among fulltime, degree-seeking students.

To be named to the president’s list, students must have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.85.

Bay campuses will be closed on Aug. 21

ESCANABA – Both Bay College campuses (Escanaba and Iron Mountain) will be closed on Aug. 21 in the morning and early afternoon for the Fall Semester Faculty and Staff In-service. This includes faculty and staff offices.

Staff offices in Escanaba will open at 1 p.m. EDST and remain open until 4:30 p.m. Staff offices in Iron Mountain will open at 1 p.m. (CDST) and remain open until 4:30 p.m.

Gov. Snyder’s mobile office at fairgrounds

LANSING – Gov. Rick Snyder’s Office of Constituent Services is continuing its mobile office hours to help address questions of Michigan residents and provide assistance with state government.

Representatives from Snyder’s mobile office will be at the Upper Peninsula State Fair as part of a mobile office tour to assist Michigan constituents with any questions or concerns.

The mobile hours are in addition to regular office hours of Monday- Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Lansing.

The mobile office is located in the Ruth Butler Building, Booth 77.
